Rosey Ridge Farm
The Hooley family lives in rural Hill County, Texas on a small farm with a variety of animals. Cows, chickens, turkeys, pigs, rabbits, horses, dogs, and cats make up the many sounds at chore time on this farm.
Papa grew up on a dairy farm in VA and it has always been his dream to farm with his family. We milk 20-30 cows, mostly Jersey or Jersey-cross. We have a couple Brown Swiss cows as well. Our cows have names, as well as numbers, and are mostly flower names, such as Buttercup, Pansy, Aster, Violet, etc. We farm around 250 acres, which enables us to graze year-round with only a little hay supplement in the winter.
We have our retail raw license which allows us to serve customers that come out to the farm. We have a small store here on the farm and sell whole milk, yogurt, butter, etc, see our product page for a complete, updated list. We would love for you to come to the farm and enjoy yourself visiting the animals and watch the milking or take a horse ride around the farm. If you have a group that wants to come, we will plan a special event for you. Some of the things we will introduce later: Trail rides and horse drawn wagon rides. Look for other products in the future such as garden produce, chow chow, and flower bouquets.
